Inter Milan’s Brazil international Maicon (pictured) has grabbed the first spot in the FTBL rating of Serie A defenders with confident performances for his country in the Confed Cup underway in South Africa.

Maicon has collected a whopping 57.82 rating points in his last five games for Brazil, boosting his overall rating to 114.12 points, quite high for a defender.

Maicon now ranks 9th in the FTBL Top 23 of the world’s best defenders and is second only to Barcelona left back Dani Alves, who has 118.62 points, in the rating of Brazilian defenders.
