Sochaux-Montbeliard’s Slovenia international Bojan Jokic’s decisive contribution to his country’s 1:0 win over Russia yesterday in Game 2 of their World Cup playoff was rewarded with approximately 18 rating points in the FTBL system, giving him an even bigger lead in our ranking of Slovenian midfielders.

Jokic (pictured in a white shirt) has an FTBL score of 62.08 points at the moment, but his numbers have hovered around 85 points in the recent past. The 2:1 defeat to Russia in Moscow in Game 1 of the playoff and Souchaux’s 1:2 loss to RC Lens in the French Ligue 1 took a toll on his score.

To keep the positive dynamics in his ratings, Jokic will have to try and play in the future at least as well as he did against Russia yesterday. His plank to beat in the next game will amount to 17.70 rating points. He set the plank in Slovenia’s 2:0 win to Slovakia, also in World Cup qualifying.
